In Moscow, a new night dry law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages stronger than 15 degrees from 10 pm to 10 am. Previously the restriction ran from 11 pm to 8 am, but the new rule is stricter and offers no exceptions. While retail stores must comply, consumers can still purchase alcohol in bars, restaurants, or via delivery from premium supermarkets. Similar bans already exist in other Russian regions, and there are plans to extend the night dry law nationwide.
