Song Xuan always wonders what Chongqing means to him—whether it is a bottle of juice, a maze of roads, the difficult dialect, or the unexpected wet days in summer. He never figures out the answer, as he never dreams of having anyone’s company or support, until someone bumps into his world and lets him know that he is not alone. There have been gray days, but all you have to do is to count down to sunlight. The story follows Song Xuan (played by Song Yaxuan) and Liu Wen (played by Liu Yaowen) as they find companionship and love in a city that is new to them. In Chinese, the narrative describes a young man who loves to ponder what Chongqing brings to him, and in a city he is not very familiar with, an umbrella suddenly shields him from the rain. Someone, accompanied by the summer cicadas, enters his world openly and speaks of their feelings in a subtle yet noisy way. Rain will always stop, and there will always be someone who says forever together in summer.
