Before starting Hide‑n‑Seek Forest, Aunt Aki hands you the Monkey Radar, which now includes a small Aki‑Cam that previews any monkey in the same section of the level. In the training room you use the radar with stuffed monkeys to determine which doors you can pass through; each monkey displays stats that affect how they react to you, and if you’re playing as Yumi there may be an extra stat. The level’s filming is called “Monkeypiece Theater: Monkey Forest” and is loosely based on fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood. A monkey named Ukki Red, dressed like the story’s heroine, sits near a Pipo Camera; you can film her and other monkeys when they’re not alert and later watch the footage at the Simian Cinema in Aki’s Shopping Area. A different monkey, the Wolfmon, appears in another part of the level. To progress you must capture seven of the ten monkeys in the stage. After completing the forest, Aki gives Kei and Yumi a wrist device that lets them morph into various forms, though she keeps the first form a secret until the next stage. Aunt Aki’s kindness shines through every step.
