Description :

The song "百万本のバラ" originally comes from a Latvian composition that was adapted by a Russian poet and sung by a Moscow-born singer, becoming a hit. Japanese singer 菅原奈月 later translated and performed it, making it popular in Japan. The lyrics tell the tale of a poor painter who falls in love with actress Margarita, a traveling performer. He sells his house and tools to buy a thousand roses and gifts them to her, filling the town square with flowers. When she sees the sea of red roses, she dismisses it as a wealthy man's frivolity and continues her tour, leaving the painter's feelings unreciprocated. The modern version, based on Kato Tomiko's lyrics, was interpreted by ICHIGO TANUKI.
