The competitors are Felipe Bardi (South America, 9.96 s), Patrick Johnson (Oceania, 9.93 s), Su Bingtian (Asia, 9.83 s), Marcell Jacobs (Europe, 9.80 s), Ferdinand Omanyala (Africa, 9.77 s), and Usain Bolt (North & Central America, 9.58 s). Issamade Asinga was omitted because his 9.89 s time was annulled after a positive drug test. The race takes place in a wind‑free, sea‑level setting to ensure an objective comparison.
