In this video, I’m sharing updates on where I’ve been and how recovery has been going, taking you along as I replace my shower curtain, liner, and rings and do a deep clean of my shower (long overdue 😅), talking honestly about pushing through medically, mentally, and emotionally when life doesn’t slow down just because you’re healing. I also go on a bit of a side rant — but it comes from the heart. I talk about why I believe the best partnerships are two independent people who walk together, not lean on each other, the importance of being a strong, capable example for my girls, doing what’s necessary to ensure your children are taken care of — no matter how you feel or what you’re facing, encouraging women to stand on their own two feet and not rely on anyone else to survive. This isn’t judgment — it’s perspective earned through life, experience, and watching too many people crash and burn by depending on systems or people that failed them. You’ll hear my kids in the background because… that’s real life. I’m a single mom, working 40+ hours a week in corporate America, navigating recovery, preparing for another surgery this week, and still showing up — even when there’s never a quiet moment.
