Description :

Carmine Faino, 61, was shot and killed by a police special response team Thursday after allegedly ambushing two Pennsylvania state troopers and killing a woman in Susquehanna County. The incident began when troopers responded to reports of a shooting and were met with gunfire from a distance. Troopers Joseph Perechinsky and William Jenkins were both injured but survived; Perechinsky managed to apply tourniquets to Jenkins’ arms. An EMT was also hurt when the suspect fired on his vehicle, Fox News has reported. Police attempted to negotiate with Faino, who was believed to be armed and potentially in possession of explosives, but he was ultimately killed when he continued to pose a threat.
