Mileva, a retired secretary who worked in the municipality, lives with her daughter Natalija, a Serbian language teacher, and her grandson Sonja. Mileva's best friend is Cveta, who lives with her forty‑year‑old son Mikica. Cveta is a possessive mother and never allows Mikica to form a lasting relationship with a woman. Mileva convinces Cveta that Mikica needs to finally straighten out his love life and leave home, but Cveta believes any woman is a danger to her son. Meanwhile, Mileva's problem is that her daughter Natalija cannot find a man for herself.
