Resident Evil Requiem, also known as Resident Evil 9, was announced by Capcom for release on February 27, 2026. Set about 30 years after the destruction of Raccoon City, the game follows two intertwining protagonists, Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst investigating her mother's mysterious death at the abandoned Wrenwood Hotel, and Leon S. Kennedy, a veteran DSO agent investigating a bioterrorism threat linked to former Umbrella scientist Victor Gideon. Players can switch between first‑person and third‑person perspectives at any time. Grace’s gameplay focuses on stealth, psychological horror, and puzzle‑solving, while Leon’s sections are action‑oriented with intense gunfights and melee combat.
