Wario Land 4: Part 1: Hall of Hieroglyphs

Wario, now living in a modest house, drives his purple car across a desert after reading about a newly discovered pyramid in a jungle. He encounters a black cat, a researcher, and a princess, and eventually enters the gold‑coated pyramid, where the black cat again leads him into a deep hold. The first level, the Hall of Hieroglyphs, serves as a tutorial: Wario learns new abilities such as the Dash Attack, a powered‑up Ground Pound, throwing, swimming, and rolling. He must collect four jewel pieces and a keyzer, use a frog switch to progress, and navigate a bomb countdown that forces him to retrace his steps. After the level, a mini‑game shop offers a Homerun Derby, and the adventure culminates in the first boss fight.
