The UK 2nd Edition Nintendo DS version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was released in 2008 as the follow‑up to the 1st Edition game, which appeared on both the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. It was the last Nintendo‑exclusive version of the series. Unlike the 1st Edition DS game, this edition uses the 12‑question format that was employed on the actual TV show, and it is the only Millionaire game to do so. No contestant on the UK show ever won the top prize with the 12‑question format; the highest amount reached was £150,000. The game also includes video clips that play when a player answers a question correctly or incorrectly, a feature not present in the Wii port.
