Dr. Ardshir Khorshidi, born in Yazd in 1946, completed his early education in local schools before moving to Isfahan to study medicine. After earning his general medical degree in 1974, he specialized in ophthalmology, working in several hospitals and establishing a private practice. In 1985 he joined the American Academy of Ophthalmology and became a pioneer in introducing laser refractive surgery to Iran, founding the Vank Eye Center and later the Vank Specialized Eye Center on Hakani Boulevard. He also mastered advanced surgical techniques such as the FICO topical method and multi‑lens implantation, sharing these innovations at national and international conferences. Parallel to his medical career, Dr. Khorshidi devoted nearly a decade to studying Zoroastrian theology, ultimately achieving the title of Mobad and publishing several religious and cultural works. He married Simin Naemi in 1976, with whom he has three children: Azita, Arash, and Nazanin.
