On April 4, 2014, musicians from around the world gathered at the Royal Albert Hall to honor the late Jon Lord. The tribute concert was divided into two parts: the first highlighted the classical compositions that were dear to Lord, while the second showcased his rock legacy, featuring performances by Deep Purple, Paul Weller, Glenn Hughes, Bruce Dickinson, Rick Wakeman, and others. The 83‑piece Orion Orchestra, conducted by Paul Mann, accompanied the acts. The event also served as a fundraiser for the charity The Sunflower Jam. In addition to the live recordings, the release includes a box set that contains a Blu‑ray, a CD titled "The Composer", a 2‑CD set titled "The Rock Legend", an exclusive T‑shirt, a signed two‑sided reproduction of Lord’s handwritten score for "Sarabande", a 20‑page program reproduction, and two special 7‑inch vinyls featuring live tracks from the concert.
