Former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, who had been under house arrest, made his first public appearance in Sabaneta, Antioquia, a day after being granted freedom. A court ordered his immediate release while he appeals a witness‑tampering conviction that had sentenced him to 12 years of house arrest.
