Deskripsi:

Lauterbrunnen is a valley in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland, located between Interlaken and the mountain villages of Wengen and Mürren. The valley, surrounded by steep cliffs, snow‑capped peaks, and more than 70 waterfalls, feels like stepping into a fairy‑tale book. A peaceful walking tour takes you through the valley, where wooden chalets, colorful flower boxes, and the distant toll of cow bells create a tranquil atmosphere. Highlights include the Staubbach Falls, one of the highest free‑fall waterfalls in Europe at 297 m, and the Trümmelbach Falls, a series of glacier‑origin waterfalls hidden inside the mountain and accessible via tunnels and stairs. The valley is also home to 72 waterfalls in total, each adding to the misty charm of the area. The scenery offers dramatic views, wooden bridges, grazing cows, and the characteristic Swiss serenity, making it a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Local cuisine such as rösti, mountain cheese, and hearty stews can be enjoyed in cozy village restaurants or mountain huts, and the region is known for fresh dairy products, fruit syrups, and herbal teas made right in the valley.
