While minor deviations were identified, the board stated they reflected commitment rather than violation, and stricter governance measures have been implemented. Schwab, 87, has announced plans to resign. The WEF also replaced interim chair Peter Brabeck‑Letmathe with Larry Finck and Andre Hoffmann. The investigation dismissed claims that Schwab misused funds or asked employees to withdraw cash. Schwab, the founder of the WEF, is known for transforming the annual Davos summit into a major international business and political forum.
