Senior UN official urges action 'to prevent genocide' in Gaza | AFP

United Nations relief chief Tom Fletcher on Tuesday called on the UN Security Council to take action to prevent genocide in Gaza, after Israel announced its military was resuming full force operations in the Palestinian territory. "For those killed and those whose voices are silenced: what more evidence do you need now?" asked Fletcher in a briefing where he detailed Israel's inhumane actions in Gaza to the council. "Will you act decisively to prevent genocide and to ensure respect for international humanitarian law?"
