Apocalyptica - live at Hellfest 2025 – ARTE Concert

Apocalyptica, the Finnish cello metal band, debuted in the early 1990s after graduating from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. They pioneered a unique blend of classical cello technique with heavy metal, starting with their 1993 album *Plays Metallica*. Over 30 years, they have released original compositions and covers of metal classics, most recently returning to their roots with *Plays Metallica Vol. 2* in 2024. Their performance at Hellfest 2025, filmed on 19 June 2025 at the Clisson Open Air Festival, featured a set of Metallica covers that highlighted the band's signature sound and the enduring influence of the original Metallica lineup.
