Welcome to this short workshop, which is about the process behind designing show titles for TV and web shows. I will share an example designed for this series—the intro sequence—and walk you through its design process, ideation, storyboards, and style frames. We’ll also cover how to kickstart a project from a blank canvas, brainstorm ideas, manage your project, and briefly discuss the steps of the rest of the production with a breakdown of each scene. For the production part I’ll use Blender 3D, but you can follow along with any program you prefer, and I’ll share a few boards from the pre‑production phase created with Milanote. The workshop is divided into four chapters: Introduction, Ideation, Visualization, and Production. We’ll conclude with an end note and some thoughts from my production diary, reflecting on my personal learning from the project. The workshop is designed so you can follow along and create something of your own—your own title and design something unique—rather than just following step‑by‑step software tips. Although this is a vast subject to master, this example uses a simple and common technique often used in the industry. As you practice more, you’ll discover multiple ways to approach such challenges, and your curiosity will make the journey joyful. I personally love making titles; it’s a great way to present ideas and engage your audience.
