Бishop Anisimov was elected by the Holy Synod on March 15, 2012, and was elevated to archimandrite on March 18 in the Church of Christ the Savior. He was consecrated as Bishop of Gorodets and Vetluzhsk on March 29 in the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. He was ordained on April 8 after the Divine Liturgy, with the participation of Patriarch Kirill and other bishops. He passed away on August 24, 2023, and was buried in Nizhny Novgorod.
