Descrizione:

In the western Himalaya, a female Kalij Pheasant climbs oak trees at dusk to roost, feeding on lichens, moss, and small vegetation. As night falls, the pheasants ascend the canopy to avoid ground predators, with the male displaying bright white crest and red eye patches during the breeding season. The pair, along with other birds such as Maroon Orioles, can be seen in the understory and upper branches of the forest at the Wildfilms India sanctuary.
