Manuel Bompard, coordinator of France Unbowed (La France Insoumise), pays tribute to Olivier Marleix during a party press conference in Paris, describing him as “a consistently respectful political opponent” and “a singular voice.” Marleix, the MP for Eure-et-Loir who chairs the Les Républicains group in the National Assembly from 2022 to 2024, took his own life under unspecified circumstances.
