Chor der Jäger from Der Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber was performed by the Cologne Male Voice Choir and the WDR Funkhausorchester, conducted by Bernhard Steiner. The live performance took place in Cologne on 09/17/2017, during the choir’s 175th anniversary celebrations. The open‑air concert, held at the Cologne Cathedral, attracted 3,500 visitors who enjoyed the choir’s rendition of the opera’s most beautiful melodies, accompanied by the WDR radio house orchestra and featuring solo performances by star tenor Juan Diego Flórez and soprano Eleonore Maguerre.
