Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi presents a concise biography of the third caliph, Uthman ibn Affan, highlighting his early years in Mecca, his migration to Medina, and his notable generosity, such as purchasing a well for the Muslim community and donating camels and gold during the Battle of Tabuk. He participated in the Battle of Badr, was considered a 'Badri' despite illness, and later fought at Uhud, where he was forgiven by Allah. Uthman served as governor in the Prophet’s absence, represented the Muslims at the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, and was involved in the expansion of the mosque by buying land. His marriage to Umm Khultum, the Prophet’s daughter, and his role in forgiving his foster brother Abdullah are also discussed, as well as his legacy of wealth and piety that earned him 14 children after the loss of his first wife.
