The Moskvich was a compact family car in the USSR, positioned between the economical ZAZ microcars and the luxury GAZ Volga/ZIL models. The brand, also known as AZLK and IZh, produced a range of vehicles including the Moskvich 400, 412, 2140, Aleko, Svyatogor, 2142, Ivan Kalita, 3, and 6, which eventually overlapped with VAZ/Lada models.
