It was the first Millionaire DVD game in France and the first of four separate DVD releases. The game includes a how‑to‑play video featuring Jean‑Pierre Foucault, similar to the UK version with Chris Tarrant. It is a polished version of the 2002 original DVD game, with the same cover art but using the same palette as the UK 2nd Edition DVD. The prize draw for the Universal Studios package ended on May 31, 2004, before the release of the second edition.
