Rare Turkish Anatolian Rock, Funk & Jazz

This is the second episode of the new mini series called Portable Sessions. During a summer visit to my home city Istanbul, I took a pair of portable turntables and recorded a vinyl set episode with amazing views across the country. My second stop was Ovacik in Cesme/Izmir. Because I live in London, whenever I get a chance to visit home in Turkey, I try to buy as many Turkish records (mostly 45s) as I can, and this time was no exception. In this portable session, I play some of the hardest‑to‑find records from Feride, Mogollar, Deniz Erkanat, Dario Moreno, Ferdi Ozbegen and more. Special thanks to Ali, Banu and Alya Kanibelli.
