Fat is basically natures number one superfood, and when prepared correctly, it's one of the best shelf stable foods! But if the weather is warm raw fat will quickly spoil and go rancid, making it unfit for consumption. In this survival skills video I'll cover how to render animal fat in the wilderness to make it shelf stable and last for years without refrigeration. I'll start with raw bison fat and show you how to render tallow step by step to preserve it for future use.
