This Superformance GT40 MkII was completed in August 2017 and is number 16 of 20 examples produced in collaboration with Shelby American to commemorate 50 years since the model secured victory at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. Finished in black with silver stripes and white roundels, the car has 111 miles and is powered by a 496ci Ford FE V8 mated to a Quaife five-speed manual transaxle. Fixed-back bucket seats are trimmed in black leather upholstery and joined by air conditioning, Smiths instrumentation, a leather-wrapped Moto‑Lita steering wheel, and a quick‑release steering wheel hub. The left‑hand‑drive car rides on 15″ Halibrand‑style wheels, and additional appointments include Wilwood brakes, a Holley four‑barrel carburetor, and an aluminum radiator with electric cooling fans. This Superformance GT40 was sold on BaT in February 2024 and is now offered by the selling dealer in New York with build photos, an order sheet, a Shelby American Certificate of Origin, and a clean Florida title listing the car as a 1966 Shely.
