This official music video for “Subways of Your Mind,” also known as the internet’s most mysterious song, follows the journey of a forgotten 1980s track that was rediscovered when a teenager recorded it from the radio. Directed by Berlin-based filmmaker Dominik Galizia, the film is shot on 16mm using an ARRI SR3 camera and Kodak Vision3 500T stock to give it a nostalgic, warm feel. The narrative centers on original songwriter Ture Rückwardt, who appears in a dreamlike scenario sharing a space with Darius—his “brother in spirit” across time. The shoot recreates Ture’s 1980s bedroom, complete with authentic props such as a MFB Fricke drum machine, a 4‑track recorder, vintage Sennheiser headphones, and a Gibson guitar similar to the one he played. Darius records the song with a Technics SA‑K6 cassette deck, a prop used in the film. The video blends both surreal, time‑bending imagery and real musicians, featuring Ture, Michael Hädrich, and Norbert Ziermann as themselves.
