In 2023 Blumhouse's Five Nights at Freddy’s became the highest‑grossing horror film of the year, and a new chapter of animatronic terror begins. One year after the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, former security guard Mike and police officer Vanessa have kept the truth about the fate of Mike’s younger sister Abby’s animatronic friends from her. When Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, she sets in motion a terrifying series of events that reveal dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s and unleash a long‑forgotten horror that has been hidden for decades. The film stars Josh Hutcherson as Mike, Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa, Piper Rubio as Abby, and recurring cast members Matthew Lillard as William Afton. New characters are brought to life by Freddy Carter, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Skeet Ulrich. It is directed by Emma Tammi, written by game creator Scott Cawthon, and produced by Blumhouse founder Jason Blum alongside Scott Cawthon.
