Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, together with leaders from GCC member states and Asian heads of state, attended the second GCC and ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on inclusion and sustainability. He met Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and later departed Kuala Lumpur, being escorted by officials at the airport. The summit also featured cultural and sporting highlights, including a monodrama festival in Carthage and the closing ceremony of the 2024/2025 season at the Sheikh Abdullah Al‑Ansari complex. Additionally, the Asian Athletics Federation adopted a new electoral system, and Qatar prepared for its 2025 football championships with a volunteer program and a ceremony at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
