In the final episode, we meet people connected to the hotel’s illustrious past and those caught in a tragic event. Tikka’s great‑grandfather was a Maharajah who attended the hotel’s inauguration in 1903; Tikka now works for French luxury brand Louis Vuitton. We also meet regular guest Ashish, who grew up in modest circumstances and dreamed of staying at the Taj. On 26 November 2008, terrorists attacked the hotel, claiming 31 lives. Guests and staff relive that day, including Chef Raghu, who was shot while trying to evacuate guests, and American oil heiress Maria, who recounts her experience of the terrorists who sought to destroy the ‘palace of dreams.’ The film first aired on 17 September 2014.
