The Roman Catholic church's most senior cleric in the Holy Land says that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is "morally unacceptable", after visiting the war‑torn Palestinian territory. "We have seen men holding out in the sun for hours in the hope of a simple meal. This is an humiliation that is hard to bear when you see it with your own eyes. It's morally unacceptable and unjustifiable," says Latin Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa.
