The John Carpenter game is a version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" where you win a million dollars without using any lifelines. The DVD Weekend Millionaires game was released in November 2004 as one of nine games based on the second British DVD edition, more than a year after Meno de Ruiter failed to answer the final question. The money tree was based on the 2002‑2008 version, translated from Dutch guilders to euros, before the show adopted a 12‑question format. It was the only Weekend Millionaires game where the questions were voiced by Robert ten Brink. Finally, the prize draw, except for the first Australian DVD edition, was exactly the same as all derivatives of the second British DVD edition: Universal Mediterranea.
