Keeper is Double Fine’s latest video game, and in case you were afraid the studio behind Psychonauts and Brutal Legend and Broken Age were suddenly going to make boring, normal games, don’t worry. This one’s about a lighthouse, which has become ambulatory for unclear reasons and seemingly befriended some bird. Double Fine head honcho Tim Schafer stopped by gamescom studio to shed some light on this new project, explain what the gameplay loop is like, what’s going on in this weird world, and reflect on the studio’s legacy as it celebrates 25 years of making cool, weird, funny video games like Stacking, Headlander and Rad.
