He planned a fishing trip after a weather forecast of wind, rain, and thunder. On Friday he finished work at 10 p.m., drove to the Kuban River 100 km from the city, and set up a feeder to catch perch. The river was full and fast‑moving, leaving few good spots. He slept in his car by the riverbank, prepared bait at dawn, and began fishing. Mosquitoes were relentless, and the perch was slow to bite, but after switching to a worm with oparik in the feeder, the fish started biting more actively. By 10 a.m. he had caught 5–6 kg of Kuban perch and left the river feeling satisfied and eager to head home.
