Recently, Phu Quoc Island has become one of the most attractive destinations for both inbound and domestic travelers, drawing millions each year with its natural sandy beaches, white shores, romantic sunsets and sunrises, green forests, fresh air, and sea activities. The island is also famous for its bustling night markets that leave a lasting impression on visitors, especially those who love seafood. Phu Quoc hosts two well-known night markets along Vo Thi Sau street in Duong Dong Town: the older Dinh Cau market and the newer Bach Dang market. They are close to each other, just a few streets apart, allowing easy back-and-forth travel. The markets come alive after sunset, opening each night from around 6:00 pm to about 10:30 pm, with hours that can vary depending on the weather. The night markets feature more than 100 small eateries offering a variety of fresh seafood such as grilled fish, shrimp, boiled sea snails, cooked oysters, and BBQ squids, all seasoned with special Phu Quoc fish sauce. Visitors can choose fresh seafood to be cooked on the spot or take it back to their hotel for later preparation. In addition to seafood, the markets sell a range of products including handicrafts, jewelry, and souvenirs.
