SpaceX launches 23 Starlink satellites to orbit on brand-new Falcon 9 rocket

A brand-new SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit on Tuesday night (May 20) from Cape Canaveral. This marked the first flight and landing for the rocket’s first stage, which touched down on the drone ship Just Read the Instructions. The mission, delayed by a day due to an aborted launch, was SpaceX’s 60th Falcon 9 flight and 43rd Starlink launch of 2025, adding to the growing Starlink megaconstellation of over 7,500 active satellites, Space.com has reported.
