Throughout my pro wrestling career, injuries were just part of the job. Back, neck, knees — you name it, I’ve dealt with it. And every single time I found myself sidelined, I turned to one training method that always helped me rebuild strength and get back on my feet: isometrics. Now, at 53 years old, I’ve realized I can’t wait for injuries to remind me how effective isometrics are. They’ve become a proactive part of my training — keeping me strong, improving my recovery, and protecting my joints without the wear and tear of heavy weights. The crazy thing is, isometrics aren’t new. They’ve been around for decades — used by athletes, martial artists, and strength coaches long before modern fitness trends. But somewhere along the way, most of us forgot about them. In this video, I’m sharing how isometrics helped me through countless injuries in my wrestling career, and why I believe this “forgotten” training method is one of the best tools for anyone — especially if you’re over 50 or dealing with pain.
