The United States calls for an immediate end to the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia following deadly border clashes and urges that civilians be protected. State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott tells journalists that the United States urges an immediate cessation of hostilities, protection of civilians and a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
