Creep by Radiohead - Cover by The Graystones

This is a cover of a cover! Radiohead gave us Creep, a masterful song for anyone who feels like an outsider. We fell in love with a cover version by Postmodern Jukebox and felt it would push us into new areas of music, vocal expression, and sensitivity that we hadn't explored deeply before. We feel we matured as artists with this song. Someone recently dubbed our indoor songs as part of the "Sock Sessions", and we liked that reference, so this song is Sock Session #5. We recorded this Saturday, 16 August at 10:00am, doing four takes in a row and voting for the fourth take, which is what you're seeing here. The audio in our live performances is overwhelmingly live, and while we may add layers of sound to enhance the overall experience, the original live sound remains the foundation for all our videos, and we might replace parts if it helps bring the song closer to the original we’re honoring, always in service of the art.
