Another 10‑hour pause in Israeli military operations has come into effect in parts of Gaza to allow more aid to be distributed. UN aid chief Tom Fletcher has said the next few days are "make or break". Aid agencies warn of mass starvation across the strip, and Gaza’s health ministry reports that another 14 people have died in the past 24 hours from malnourishment. The UN has welcomed the new aid measures but stresses that the action must be "sustained" and that there must be "no more attacks on people gathering for food". Aid was also air‑dropped into Gaza over the weekend, but it was a tiny fraction of Gazans' daily needs.
