Açıklama:

Kaysersberg is a historic French village in the Alsace region, situated in the Haut‑Rhin department. The town is renowned for its medieval architecture, including stone walls, half‑timbered houses, a Romanesque church, and frescoes by Maurice Denis. Its strategic location on the route between Haute Alsace and Lorraine made it a military stronghold since Roman times, and a castle was built there around 1218. In 1293 it became an imperial city, and during the 14th and 15th centuries it prospered thanks to weekly markets, annual fairs, and wine production that was exported to the Holy Roman Empire. The village suffered during the Thirty‑Years’ War but recovered in the latter half of the 17th century. In the 19th century textile industries settled in the area, and the town was partially destroyed during World War II. Kaysersberg was also selected as France’s favorite village by Stéphane Bern on France 2.
