Pit, guided by Palutena and the Three Sacred Treasures, storms Medusa’s castle, defeats her revived captains, and confronts the Ruler of the Underworld in an aerial battle. Medusa throws Pit far away, forcing him to dodge her attacks and return to the fray, eventually binding her legs to the ground with Palutena’s help. After a furious assault, Medusa detaches her head and chases Pit, but he delivers a divine coup de grâce once the head is weakened. With Medusa slain and her castle destroyed, the victory is short‑lived as Hades, the true ruler of the Underworld, emerges from the darkness, revealing himself as the real antagonist and setting the stage for new troubles.
