Live from Moss Side (Part 2): Bionic & the Wires at Boiler House

Filmed at Manchester's Boiler House, the performance is improvised and features custom-built bionic arms and sensors that translate the natural, unseen rhythms of living organisms into atmospheric soundscapes and botanical beats. A grey oyster mushroom "speaks" 50 words, triggered by its own bioelectrical pulses, illustrating that mushrooms may possess a form of communication, as a 2022 study suggests they use electrical impulses to form patterns resembling up to 50 words in a language.
