For the past seven months, my husband, a 25‑year veteran dustcart driver, has been dealing with harassment from a loader on a neighboring lorry. After his vehicle broke down in January, the loader insulted him, leading to a confrontation where my husband defended himself and was told to return to his lorry. The loader repeatedly called him a derogatory name, and when he responded, she reported him to management. Both were suspended while the incident was investigated. Although the loader has since returned to work, my husband faces a potential gross misconduct meeting for his remark, while the loader appears to have avoided consequences.
