Trump says war ‘easy to stop’ as Israel, Iran trade fire

Israel and Iran exchanged fresh rounds of deadly attacks overnight into Sunday, June 15, killing scores and escalating a conflict that has already left hundreds dead across both countries. U.S. President Donald Trump weighed in from Washington, warning Tehran not to target American facilities while claiming the conflict could be resolved swiftly. In a message on Truth Social, Trump wrote the U.S. could “easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict,” though he provided no specifics. Iran says at least 60 people, including 30 children, were killed on Saturday alone when an Israeli missile strike brought down a residential building in Tehran. Dozens more have died in Israeli strikes since Friday, Iranian officials said. In Israel, more than a dozen people have been killed and hundreds injured in Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks. On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the coastal city of Bat Yam, where emergency crews were searching for survivors beneath a collapsed multi-storey building. “Iran will pay a heavy price,” Netanyahu said.
