We Built a Timber Frame House on a Mountain in Maine | Shelter Builds

Welcome to another Shelter Build! This project takes place right in our home state of Maine, where we work for a wonderful family transitioning from an Airstream into their new home. We were lucky to share their stunning view for a few days as the frame raising took place. Sit back, relax, and watch us work. At 0:00 we introduce the build, at 0:32 we cut the frame, at 2:41 we unload the materials, at 4:54 we assemble the first bent, at 7:18 we raise the first bent, at 8:35 we assemble bent #2, at 11:42 we raise bent #2, at 16:35 we finish the first floor, at 20:38 we assemble the ridge beam, at 23:36 we install rafters, at 28:20 we install drywall, at 30:16 we install SIPs, at 33:20 we add more SIPs, at 34:45 we fiddle with details, at 37:19 we install the SIP roof, and at 39:18 we give a house tour.
