John Carpenter's 1999 release, the world's first Who Wants to Be a Millionaire video game, debuted on November 27th, just eight days after Carpenter's famous win. Developed for the Oracle VirtualBox environment using a specific VDI file, this US 1st Edition PC version is one of only two U.S. releases that cannot run on modern Windows OS. Although never mentioned on the jewel case, it is retroactively considered the first edition. The creator is currently completing a personal challenge to play nine games of the US 1st Edition PC in a single day.
